How We Started
Nova West Steel Works is a welding and custom fabrication company. We specialize in custom builds within the residential building industry along with commercial / industrial piping and structural welding.
We have completed boiler room piping, chiller line systems and hydronic piping for mechanical and commercial companies in the Edmonton and surrounding area. Since then, our company has expanded to include custom metal work for new home builds as well as renovations. You can find a lot of our custom railings, benches, doors and furniture in show homes throughout the Edmonton area.
Nova West Steel Works is run by a small team of people who share the same passion for quality work, unique design, and lasting professional partnerships.

Meet Our Team
Nova West Steel Works brings metal works and design together to curate exquisite projects for our clients in the residential and commercial sectors. The Nova West team maintains a client-centered model, upholding our clients’ best interests from start to finish.
Dan Goodchild, owner and operator, has a decade of trade experience under his belt from fabrication, construction, oil and gas, and the mechanical industries. With his wide variety of knowledge and skills, from piping systems to fabrication, all bases are covered.
Chris Mitchel, our in-house autoCAD design technician, brings 15 years of fabrication experience, allowing for a smooth process of design, build and installation.
